Nice, no rust on the floors, a definite candidate to be a really nice car... with a little work.

We chose to have the car stripped via the plastic media process. It worked very well, albeit a bit messy. I cleaned media out of everything, and everywhere.

Some pictures with no paint.

After blasting, it was easy to see where it had been previously repaired. Mostly just little door dings, that smoothed right out with primer-surfacer. The LH quarter of the car was absolutely perfect! I took this picture and a whole series just like it, to send to him, to explain what we would have to do, bodywork-wise. Communication in this type of deal is the key. You never really know what is under the paint till it comes off, and we were pleasantly surprised. It will be a long time before I see a car this solid again.

After the media blast, the body still had some of the factory primer on it, which was removed by taking the car all the way to bare metal with a DA, and 80 grit paper.

Everything was stripped completely.

And then the refinishing process begins.. not many pictures, we were under serious time constraints on this job.

Epoxy primer.. black on the inside of the fenders, like the OE, and light gray for the exterior.

Refinished the dash metal.

And started Painting and Striping.
