This is wayyyy too much HP.. for a cam this small, and STG 1 heads, at 10.3 compression! Can you even call this "Level 1 ?"

Sure we can... wait for the new Level 2A motor... Can you say 600HP?.. it could happen..

And it's even a tad lean here... we did not optimize this combo, as this is the exact same motor as the "M" dyno results, to which we simply substituted intake/cam/carb and the headers of the "H" version. And after 13 hours on the dyno.. we were just plain pooped.. We did throw a 1250 Dominator on it, and it was richer, and made 565 HP. The bigger carb atomizes fuel better, that's why they work!

I would not run this motor, with stock rods, no short fill in the block (or better yet a girdle), a stock flexplate, and main bolts... and those upgrades, along with the better pistons, and the difference in the carb price, are the difference in the price between the two versions of this motor. This version will also have a .2 bump in the compression, to 10.5-1. At a customer's request, we can still build it to be "safe" for pump gas, up to 10.7. But that gets iffy, under certain operating conditions.

As tested:

M motor bottom end.. the actual "H" motor uses the upgraded conical dish pistons, which are supposed to make even more power.

Wildcat intake- Fully Ported (Ported TA SP-1 actually made more Torque, below 4500 rpm, Wildcat stronger in the higher RPM ranges)

 Worked 850 Holley --- Substituted a 950HP.. within a couple HP.

Cam- 230/234@.050 duration .525 lift, 110 LC... Installed at 106* Intake Centerline. Noticeably rougher idle than the "M' cam, idles at 750 at 13" vacuum. But still very street-able, in a fully equipped car.

Halfway between the Level 1M motor, and the new Level 2A motor.. The only difference with the 2A motor will be a larger cam, slightly more compression, an SFI balancer, and the option of a block girdle on the 2A motor. Otherwise, these two motors will be identical.
