inspections and adjustments
Level 3 Description
The "Street
Beast!" This one will wake up the neighbors. Brutal
HP, yet you can cruise to the local burger joint on pump premium gas. At 10.75-1
compression, you can race it on pump gas too! Forget the power brakes.. unless
you have a vacuum pump. Idles at 1000 rpm, with 7" of vacuum. Pulls hard
to 6500 rpm, and it will live going there, for a long time. 3200-3600 lbs
car, 4000 stall converter, 3.73-4.56 gears are recommended. Make sure the
rest of the driveline is up to the punishment.. with slicks, this motor will
find the weak links... in a hurry!

customer parts for these engines, which reduces the price greatly. The average
price of a Level 3 motor, with customer supplied components (carb, distributor,
intake, oil pan ect) is about $11,000.
