When I owned it, I got really tired of lugging a Battery Charger around, so we built it in, and powered it with the plug shown below... we used a 25 ft extension cord, and changed the end, so it just plugs right in! Also shown is the Aux power panel, and the master solenoid, and fuel pump relay. The Plug, behind the license plate
And the roll cage mounted switch panel. With the system, you just set these switches in the staging lane, and then turn off the master. No need to turn each switch on every time you want to move the car five feet.. Switches are only there, so you can individually control the various components... i.e. turn the ignition and fuel pump off, but leave the fans and water pump running, after a run. Interior tin work -- all panels are sealed with clear silicon... no smoke in this car during the burnouts!! Air Bottle mount, for the shifter, and starting line control.
Funny car cage. The ultimate in driver protection. This car is built to go into the 8's. Trick Jerry Bickel window latches! Once piece front end, with lift off hood... once you have had a car with a removable front end, you will never want to work over fenders again!!
See why? 2 popup fasteners on each side hold the front clip in place, along with a quick release slide mount on the front.... You can remove or install the whole thing in seconds! In June 2002, this car was sold again, to a Fellow BPG member in Hawaii. It's living the good life now!Back to Previous work in Pictures Page
