We moved the motor forward 3" and up 3/4 of an inch, to make it possible to work on the car, have a mid plate and mount, and get the crankshaft centerline where we wanted it to be. The air pan shows the location of the original carb location, when this car was first built. Now I know some of you are saying .. moved the motor forward?.. Yup.. but here is the kicker.. we move everything else back.. the cage and driving position went a full 6" rearward. Preliminary weights on the wheel scales show an almost perfect 50/50 weight balance, from front to rear.
